Quilt Appraisals
We are proud to offer a Quilt Appraisal service for both members and non-members. Appraisals are conducted by trained Quilt Appraisers.
Appraisals are for personal use and gives a replacement value only. If you wish to insure your quilt, you must contact your insurer to discuss the matter with them. Alice Springs Quilting Club gives no assurance that your insurance provider will use this appraisal when determining an insurance value.
Getting an Appraisal
If you wish to have your quilt appraised, please complete the online application form, and make your payment, AT LEAST two weeks prior to the Appraisal date.
Appraisal Fees
The cost of Appraisals is:
- Members: $10.00
- Non-Members: $15.00
Payments must be received prior to Appraisal day, by Direct Deposit into Alice Springs Quilting Club Inc. Details of payment are included on the online form.

- May 30th, 2026
- September 19th, 2026

Library
Our Library has an extensive range of books and magazines available for members to borrow.
You will find books on many subjects from applique’ techniques, traditional patterns, the history of quilting to modern quilts and machine quilting patterns and techniques. We also subscribe to Quilters Companion and receive Newsletters from various Quilting guilds around Australia. For those quilters whose interest is in the more freeform and artistic area we also have numerous publications to inspire. Our collection is constantly being added to.
Borrowing Books
Members who attend our monthly meeting may borrow up to 10 items per month. Library Catalogue You can view the library catalogue below where you can also reserve books to collect at the next meeting/when available.
Reserved Books
Books may be reserved. It may take a few meetings for the book to become available depending on the demand for that book.
New Books
Lists of the new books are published in Desert Threads.
Newsletter
To make sure that our members can be kept up to date with the goings-on within Alice Springs Quilting Club, we publish a monthly newsletter called Desert Threads which is emailed to each member.
