Sit & Sew Days for 2026 – will be held with workshops on the last Sunday of the month. Bring your own projects to work on and socialize with like minded people. Cost $10. Tea & Coffee provided.
Exhibitions
Alice Springs Quilting Club holds an exhibition each year. It alternates between being a club members only exhibition and a Territory-wide judged exhibition.
Territory Quilts 2026 Exhibition (TQ26) is being hosted by Alice Springs Quilting Club, from October 3rd-10th 2026 at Witchetty’s Gallery at the Araluen Art Centre, Larapinta Drive, Alice Springs.

Friendship Groups
Christmas Crackers
Christmas Crackers is a group of members with a common interest in Christmas.
We meet monthly and work on our own projects with lots of social chat and shared supper. We share lots of ideas and techniques as we have members of all skill levels who willing to share. We also have group activities from time to time all based around Christmas!
Visitors are welcome to attend and join in the Christmas Cheer! It’s a great way to prepare your Christmas gifts

Nimble Thimbles
Nimble Thimbles is a group who meet fortnightly, accepting other quilters ‘cast offs’ such as pieces of left-over fabric, reels of thread, orphan blocks, unfinished articles, trimmings, scraps of wadding etc.
They are then turned into usable items that can be sold at our annual stall at the Old Timers Fete or donated to other causes. These range from quilts (of various sizes) to table runners, aprons, or cushions. Every scrap is used as we get super creative with our donations. Often the article is made, comprising of several items from different donations.
Kits to make small “Blankets of Love” are available for members to put together. Which are then offered to the bereaved families of infants of the Alice Springs Hospital.
